Patrick FitzGerald (DJ Daywalker) - Patrick was born in Fairfax, Virginia where he attended Robert E. Lee High School. Beginning at an early age, Patrick’s interest in music was sparked from the minute he picked up his first stringed instrument (violin). He continued his study of music from middle school through High School in choir class, where he learned a diverse genre of music, from Middle Aged Madrigal’s to Doo-Wop to the Billy Joel and Queen ballads of the 1980’s.
Upon entering his Freshmen year at Virginia Tech, Patrick began immersing himself within the ever expanding Rap, Hip-Hop, and R&B genre’s of music. After DJing his first gig (a friend’s birthday party in the Spring of 2006) with nothing more than a 50 watt stereo and newly acquired iPod, he was immediately hooked to the satisfaction that DJing brings. Throughout the rest of his college career, Patrick DJed numerous events, including Fraternity and Sorority formal dinners and dances, weddings, charity events, and socials whenever possible. Patrick’s favorite genre’s of music are Classical Symphony, Oldies Rock n Roll, Pop, Alternative, R&B, and Rap. Among them, his favorite artists are Billy Joel, Hans Zimmer, Bobby Darin, Justin Timberlake, Dave Matthews Band, Kanye West, Ne-Yo and The-Dream.
Patrick graduated from Virginia Tech in the fall of 2009, with two degrees in Accounting and Finance, as well as a minor in Leadership and Social Change. He recently relocated to the DC metropolitan area where he works full time at a “Big 4” accounting firm. Patrick desires to remain involved with the local music industry through continued DJing of local events, as well as writing album reviews for his blog.
